Extending Prayers and Aid to Ukraine

London Spiritual Centre Organises Vigil for Peace

Members of the Hertsmere and Watford community came together to pray for peace in Ukraine and for all those affected by conflict around the world at the Vigil for Peace held at the Mission’s Spiritual Centre in Bushey, London.

The event brought together various prominent members of the local community including Dean Russell – Member of Parliament for Watford, Councillor Anne Swerling – Mayor of Hertsmere, Councillor Seamus Quilty – Chair of Hertfordshire County Council, local councillors, representatives from the Jain, Hindu, Christian, Muslim, Jewish, and Zoroastrian faiths.

The vigil commenced with the lighting of candles to signify hope for resolution. Various members of the community shared messages of peace and love. The participants then immersed in guided meditation, praying for peace for all. A melodious musical rendition ensued which sought freedom and happiness for all beings.

Essential items like hygiene and first-aid products, and stationery items were collected and donated to several organisations which are involved in extending a helping hand to the Ukrainians in need.

Long Island Satsang Centre Lends a Helping Hand to Ukrainians

To assist needy Ukrainians in these difficult times, members of the Long Island Satsang Centre along with the children of Shrimad Rajchandra Divinetouch gathered to pack and donate around 4,000 essential items including medical supplies, clothing, baby products etc. Volunteers across age groups joined this initiative and prayed for peace for those affected by this tragedy. The items collected were handed over to the Saint Vladimir Ukrainian Parish Center which shall further use them for the benefit of the affected Ukrainians.

It is Param Krupalu Dev and Pujya Gurudevshri’s love and teachings which has instilled the virtues of sensitivity and empathy in seekers and thus inspired them to reach out to those in turmoil.
